About the book: Kids who are up early in the morning can learn about predawn animal activities in rural, suburban, and urban gardens, using haiku, information sidebars, and a glossary.
From predawn to sunrise, a series of haiku take the reader on a close-up, observational look at the amazing abundance of nature, right outside our rural, suburban, and urban homes. Each stanza focuses on an aspect of the natural world or creature going about their daily business as the world wakes up.
Alongside the haikus, informative sidebars go into more depth on each subject. A glossary and a source list provide additional information, adding value as a STEAM and Core Curriculum resource book, for use both in the classroom and at home.
